•  Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn?

My learning topic is world history and geography .The most important thing I want the player of my game to learn is that Nelson Mandela was a  big part of history because he showed us that we can change the world with out using violence and that we can just use our words .

•  What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic?

The type of research I did was going on Google and looking up facts about Nelson Mandela and learning about his past , also about his accomplishments and his failures . What I learned about this topic is that you dont always got to use violence to get something done. You can just use words .

•  How did your ideas change as you worked on your game?

I was thinking about a lot of things when I was working. I was thinking about how I could make it better and how I could get the player to understand that Nelson Mandela was a good person. But my ideas changed a lot during the process of the game.

• What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why?

The best game ingredient that I have used that helped me so far is the 'music' . The reason for it being the best one I've used is because when something has music it makes it more interesting.

• Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game?

The most difficult part of making my game was putting the codes and making sure there in the right place. The way i over came this problem is by asking my teacher for help and rereading the instructions .The best feature i am proud of is the parallax scrolling , The reason for that is because it makes the background look like its moving with the player.

Learn About Game Paper Prototyping

The problems I had with making a paper prototype were drawing . The reason why this was one of my problems  is because am not a very good drawer . Another problem I had was that I couldn't really have a idea about what the background could be . The reason why this was a problem is because its sort of difficult to find a background that could relate to Nelson Mandela . These were the main problems that I had with making a paper prototype.

Backstory- Nelson Mandela was a powerful leader. He was a man that believed that we could change the world without using violence. Nelson Mandela was a powerful speaker he was one of the people that changed the world forever. When you play this game you will be Nelson Mandela and you will have to avoid violence and collect the kindness. This game you will not use violence.

Learn To Design For Mobile

For the side scrolling action games they have more difficult instructions. They also have a lot of movement with the fingers. The side scrolling action games also have more better graphics then mobile games .


For the mobile design they have a more difficult time with the controls. They also tend to have bad graphics. For the consoles design they have a controller that does most of the movement for you. They also tend to have better graphics then mobile

Semester Goals

 A school goal that's for me is for me to pass all my classes with a 80 and above. The reason why I want this goal is because if I don't pass with a 80 or above I wont be able to play any sports. The reason why I need to play sports is so I can stay out of trouble. I think I can achieve this goal. The reason why I think I can achieve these goals is because I've done it before.
 Another goal I made for this year is to behave in all 7 of my classes. The reason why is so I can be a good student. Another goal I made for my self for this year is for me to not get any referrals. The reason why I want this goal is so that I can have a good record. I need a good record so I can get into college.

It will benefit us by when we apply for a job, we can put that on our application and we can have a better advantage of getting that job. Also we can get a job of making games and get paid a lot of money while we make a game.

Recycling Stuff

Some of these materials are recycled by washing it down and burning it and making it into new things. EA PREP can recycle all the cans people have at there house.

  Tech Trash is a wasteland of old computer monitors and TVs.

 The way it negatively can effect it is by the lead from CRTs could seep into groundwater and rivers, contaminating the water supply.

Difference in this school year and last year
